No account and no sign-in. Mēdota receives only the condition, the country, a trial number or a date from your question. It keeps no record of questions, no conversation text and no IP addresses, only monthly totals of how often each condition and country is asked about. The service and this website run on servers in Germany.

Mēdota is not yet a company. Until it is, Mattias Aybar is responsible as a natural person.
When you ask Claude about trials, Claude decides to use Mēdota and sends it only the values the tool needs:
Your conversation itself stays between you and Anthropic and never reaches Mēdota.
A condition named together with a country can be information about your health or the health of someone close to you. Mēdota uses it only to answer that one request and then discards it.
Only monthly totals: for each month, how many times trials were looked up for each condition and country, for example "October 2026, Parkinson Disease, SE: 14". Requests for a single trial are not counted.
There is no day or time, no question, no trial number, no conversation text, no IP address and no identifier of any kind in these totals, so they cannot be traced back to a person. They show which conditions and countries families ask about, so that Mēdota knows where to improve. They are kept for 24 months and then deleted.
The service and the website medota.eu run on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. The trial information comes from the public registers ClinicalTrials.gov, the EU Clinical Trials Information System and the German Clinical Trials Register.
To write the plain-language explanations, and to find the standard MeSH term for conditions a register words in its own way, Mēdota sends the registers' public texts to Anthropic's API: each night, and for a trial that has no explanation yet, when someone first asks about it. Only the trial's public text is sent. No question from you is ever part of that.
Mēdota cannot tell who sends a request: it receives no name, no account and no other identifier, and it does not store IP addresses. Where the values it receives are nevertheless personal data, Mēdota processes them only to answer the request you made (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for health information you choose to send by asking, on the basis of that explicit request (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR).
Because Mēdota stores nothing that relates to you, there is nothing to look up, correct or delete. You can still write to contact@medota.eu with any question about your data.
You have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for Mēdota is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
